I just finished a FreeBSD port of CalendarServer 5.1. It is currently waiting for commit to get included in the ports tree: http://www.freebsd.org/cgi/query-pr.cgi?pr=186201 I tested it on FreeBSD 9.2 and did a successful upgrade of the database schema from CalendarServer 4.3 to 5.1. Backing up Calendar Server Data in OS X Server 10.9.1 (server app v3.0.2)

Hello all. I was trying to make a tar file backup of Calendar server data to test a backup/restore procedure for calendar server - I tried to follow the instructions I found in the post quoted below for how to properly backup a caldav server for migration to new hardware - but the calendarserver_backup command is failing for me under Mac OS X 10.9.1 server. (server.app 3.0.2) I do see 5432 via netstat- can you help me troubleshoot what to try next, or how to change the backup command so it completes successfully? Thanks in advance. However, calendar server does have a script to do what you need. On the source system, run this in Terminal: sudo /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin/calendarserver_backup backup /tmp/caldata.tgz Next, copy /tmp/caldata.tgz from the source system to /tmp/caldata.tgz on the destination system. Finally, on the destination system, run this in Terminal: sudo /Applications/Server.app/Contents/ServerRoot/usr/sbin/calendarserver_backup restore /tmp/caldata.tgz The caldata.tgz file will contain your calendar and contacts data, including attachments, locations, and resources. However, users and groups live in OpenDirectory and will not be copied over. If your users and groups need to be copied over, then your best bet is to use Migration Assistant to copy everything. I’m now seeing exactly the same error with CalendarServer-5.0 (and also 5.1) on OS X 10.9.1. I first tried to build the server on my new MBP running 10.9.1 after upgrading from my old MBP running 10.8.5 (where I could build and run CalendarServer-5.0 just fine). Then I went on to wipe the drive of my new MBP and did a clean install of 10.9.1 _without_ upgrading the old system. Still the same error. Hi @List, hi Michael I try myself in running calendar server but get in same situation … I followed the little install HowTo as described in trunk/README My system is latest ubutnu 13.10/saucy, but tried on latest 12LTE, too with same problems. So i think its something wrong in build.sh in this version in checking my python version or something else. Hi, I´m testing different versions from SVN of calendarserver on Debian Jessie. Now I want to install one version into normal folder structure like the debian package of calendarserver 3.2. Is there an option for an equivalent to "make install"?! Thanks, Michael

Internal Attendees - AutoSchedule

I have auto-schedule enabled set to true with always set to false and a default mode of none. It adds events to others calendars with an outline, but they receive no email notification. Logs don't show anything being attempted via SMTP. I'm beginning to think I should just install X server vs. the public builds in order to get this working. Any comments are most appreciated.

Restore accounts to new installation (sqlite)

Hi, I´m actually testing calendarserver and I have to reinstall calendarserver. At the moment I´m using sqlite, not postgresql for storing data. Now I want to restore all calendars and address books but I find out that all UUID are new. And if I copy all files and folders inside of /var/spool/caldavs/calendars/UUID/ and the same on address books I could see, that only sub default folders (named „calendar“ in calendars and „address book“ in address book) are accessible. How could I get access to additional calendars that I have copied into the UUID folder? Best regards, Michael

external invitations failing

I've got calendarserver running under 10.7.4 and it works flawlessly except for external invitations. I've added a dedicated calendar user and setup imap/smtp settings per the documentation. unknown calendar user address: mailto:validuser@domain.com error during PUT for mailto:validuser@domain.com: Unknown recipient I also tried with addressbook disabled but get the same error.
