I had it working perfectly on the same system for months installing in the same way a few months ago without ever having this error message. I think it has to do with an incompatibilty with a newer version of the curl dependency (7.18.2_0). I have port uninstalled curl and manually copied over from usr/local/bin a curl 7.18.1_2 version I compiled. I then rebuilt rtorrent via macports (giving an error as it still tried to fetch curl but couldn't activate as already had the curl files i had copied over were in its way although rtorrent then built as normal). And it is now fixed and running perfectly with curl at 7.18.1_2. I'm assuming the port has been updated installing newest versions of all dependencies. Can one change the port to install the older version by default, it was lucky i had another computer with rtorrent installed and running perfectly still on the old port with the original curl 7.18.1_2 tarball in the distfiles folder. It turns out these two are incompatible with one another. For example, if you install a module which includes a compiled component (eg, subversion-python25bindings has svn.fs, which is in _fs.so) and links against the Python.framework/.../Python, and something else compiled against /opt/local/lib/libpython2.5.dyllib (eg, ajp-wsgi), things will not go well. I see the error {{{ Fatal Python error: Interpreter not initialized (version mismatch?) }}} when using ajp-wsgi to run Trac (which uses the afore-mentioned subversion-python25bindings). I believe the proper solution is to build python25 like Apple builds python on the OS, namely, by simply symlinking what's in ${prefix}/lib to the Python.framework/.../Python file. Will attach a tarball which includes a Portfile diff and an updated files/patch-Makefile.pre.in.diff which accomplishes this. In command line version distributed on this site, this works, but not in vim- app. There is only flashing up a 6 for a second in the status bar, but nothing happens. {{{Ctrl-^}}} is described in the vim manual in usr_7.txt {{{ *07.3* Jumping from file to file To quickly jump between two files, press CTRL-^ (on English-US keyboards the ^ is above the 6 key). Example: > :args one.c two.c three.c You are now in one.c. > :next Now you are in two.c. Now use CTRL-^ to go back to one.c. Another CTRL-^ and you are back in two.c. Another CTRL-^ and you are in one.c again. If you now do: > :next You are in three.c. Notice that the CTRL-^ command does not change the idea of where you are in the list of files.
