This causes pdftex or dvips to fail if these fonts are used with an error along the lines of: {{{ kpathsea: Running mktexpk --mfmode ljfour --bdpi 8000 --mag 1+4800/(2*4000) --dpi 12800 uplb8r mktexpk: don't know how to create bitmap font for uplb8r. }}} Adding "Map upl.map" to this file, running "sudo /opt/local/libexec /texlive-update-cnf updmap.cfg" followed by "sudo updmap-sys" fixed the problem. I assume this file is generated from the contents of the Portfile, and it could be fixed by adding the corresponding line there? As it states at http://mac.kde.org/?id=download , if QuickTime can't play it, phonon can't play it. The solution is to install the Xiph (ogg) QuickTime component (http://www.xiph.org/quicktime/) to allow QuickTime to play ogg files. Installing Perian (http://perian.org/) wouldn't hurt, either. There should be a note during the port install process saying that this step is necessary since much of KDE's audio is in ogg format. It manifests itself by an incorrect decoding of key presses from the user. I have not mapped out every individual key, but here are some examples: Pressing Mod-Shift-C to close a window, it is seen as Mod-Shift-7, which moves the window to desktop 7 instead. Interestingly, Mod-X is supposed to bring up a prompt for executing lua code, which it does, but it also captures Mod-X as Mod-6, which moves to desktop 6. The number keys are not seen at all, and instead the event is passed to the active window. I'm not entirely sure if this is a bug in XQuartz, or in Awesome. I suspect this may have something to do with the way Awesome handles events from XCB, since other WMs that use vanilla xlib don't exhibit this problem. This problem makes the port unusable.
