The majority of OpenCV developers might not use the OpenNI support, so it doesn't make sense that this option is on by default, but for developers using a sensor such as Kinect/Xtion Pro/etc. this would be very useful. It would be awesome if there would be an openni variant next to the existing OpenCV ones. Thank you, George P.S.
