Rather than creating an '''app''' variant, I follow the gnuplot port's example of searching for `${applications_dir}/Emacs.app/Contents/MacOS/Emacs`, and if that does not exist then falling back to `${prefix}/bin/emacs`. Could be related to the recent update of Xcode i did. I don't know if that helps, but i started to have problems with gnuplot, so decided to reinstall it. It did not compile because of harfbuzz.
