I know to have my mouse cursor in the textfield and type. Clicking first doesn't help. I discovered this first trying to type a filename for SaveAs, and later when trying to Edit a Text element to change its text. Note that it DOES work to type text on the drawing using the Text mode tool. It fails in the Edit inspector which uses a textfield to change the text. I first installed XCODE and the command line code that accompanies it. After that, I installed MacPorts. When I try to install the programs, it seems as if it's working, but then it stops whenever it gets to accessing dbus.
