pressure sensitivity: wacom I had understood there was some progress, was the issue fixed, abandoned, still in progress? cheers Jonathan Chetwynd j.chetwynd@btinternet.com http://www.openicon.org/ +44 (0) 20 7978 1764
Well, the tablet is working. The pressure and tilt are being reported, but gimp isn't using that information. We haven't gotten a response from the GTK devs to let us know why it's being ignored (and what hoops we need to jump through to make sure it's used by gimp). Try it out in 2.3.0-rc3... at the command line run 'xinput test 3' --Jeremy On Jun 6, 2008, at 11:11, Jonathan Chetwynd wrote:

Jeremy, maybe too early in the morning.. please could you confirm this is the correct order for installing? from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases Xquartz-1.4.2-apple1.bz2 X11-2.3.0_rc4.pkg X11-1.4.2-apple1.bz2 I accept that this is in development, just my previous experience with linux suggests that getting things wrong with X11 can be disastrous. regards Jonathan Chetwynd j.chetwynd@btinternet.com http://www.openicon.org/ +44 (0) 20 7978 1764 On 7 Jun 2008, at 08:07, Jeremy Huddleston wrote:

2.3.0-rc4 contains 1.4.2-apple1 already. Just install the package. --Jeremy On Jun 12, 2008, at 23:16, Jonathan Chetwynd wrote:

Jeremy, just to confirm: 'xinput test 3' wfm I particularly appreciate the window management, with generally at least 6 apps and perhaps a dozen windows open, having them jump to the front is a real improvement, congratulations! I also emailed Michael Wybrow to see if he can add any detail http://www.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/CompilingMacOsX#Compiling_Inkscape_wi... it's a pity this is the only list known to me that deliberately excluded svg icons in posts. for those interested openicon alpha was released last night. openicon is a web application that enables people who use icons to read and write in real time on irc via the www. http://www.openicon.org regards Jonathan Chetwynd j.chetwynd@btinternet.com http://www.openicon.org/ +44 (0) 20 7978 1764 Begin forwarded message:

what would this have to do with XQuartz, since the entire purpose of "native GTK" is to completely bypass any need for an X server? --p
Paul, may I refer you to an earlier email in this thread from Jeremy?

perhaps I presumed too much to assume that there might be a comparable effort in implementing elsewhere? regards Jonathan Chetwynd j.chetwynd@btinternet.com http://www.openicon.org/ +44 (0) 20 7978 1764 On 14 Jun 2008, at 19:14, Paul Davis wrote:
