The error you are seeing is caused by the file system you are using for the 
server's data not supporting extended attributes.

What you need to do is change the mount options for the file system to 
include the 'user_xattr' option and re-mount it (this assumes that kernel 
support for xattr was complied in which it ought to be on most modern 
distributions).
