[darwinbuild] darwinbuild and libkld.a

I have been trying to build xnu 792 and xnu 792.5.1 on Mac OS 10.4.1.

The first thing I ran into was that I had to use gcc_select to switch to gcc
3.3. Maybe the readme could point this out and suggest how to find out what
version of gcc is required to build particular versions of xnu.

The next thing I have run into is that I don't have a required file:

/usr/local/lib/libkld.a

I have figured out that I need to build the cctools to get this file, but I
am having trouble with the distribution from Apple. I think I may be able to
get it working, but it would be nice if darwinbuild either installed or
built this library automatically.
