[GSoC-2010] UX improvements

Hello!

I got this idea (or rather, set of ideas) from my rather-heavy
Macports usage and a lot of apt-get usage. I've found certain parts of
the user experience (only command line) can be painful over time. This
is not enough for the 3 months allotted time, but I'm listing my
thoughts anyway.

- The port prompt dies if you enter a wrong command.
- Uninstalling is a pain if you have multiple versions installed (like
@2.3 @2.2)
- port gives no reponse if you tell it to remove a package that does not exist
- Colors are used effectively in homebrew, a good feature we could use
- Doing a port search does not show if the listed packages are installed or not

If there are other points that the community could add, I would like
to approach this as a possible proposal. I like another proposal as
well, but I'll start a different thread for that one.

Thanks
Pratul
