.. unless you did move the pointer while in space 2. In this case the
click in space 1 will always move you back to space 2, even the second
time around.

Plus, when you switch spaces, the focus remains always where it was
before. The xterm in the other space never gets focus without clicking.

This is without ffm, of course; with ffm the behavior is even weirder:
You do get focus in the new space, but only after moving the pointer. If
you don't move the pointer, the currently visible xterm will never have 
focus, and clicking on the xterm switches you indefinitely between space 
1 and space 2.

All this is independent of other applications. It happens all the time,
never differently.
