This isn't terribly useful on multiuser systems where different users
have different shells. My shell is zsh, and with rc3 I was able to
get a reasonable if not perfect login environment, for example an
xterm with my preferred fonts. With rc4 (making no other changes), I
get a stock xterm until I replace bash with zsh in the above-mentioned
script.
Once I replaced bash with zsh, I also had some issues with X11 hanging
after the initial xterm opened, though once I started trying to
isolate it, it disappeared. I'm not really sure what's happening
here, but here's a sample:
