Jeremy,

maybe too early in the morning..

please could you confirm this is the correct order for installing?
from http://xquartz.macosforge.org/trac/wiki/Releases
Xquartz-1.4.2-apple1.bz2
X11-2.3.0_rc4.pkg
X11-1.4.2-apple1.bz2

I accept that this is in development, just my previous experience with  
linux suggests that getting things wrong with X11 can be disastrous.
