[Xquartz-dev] X11-2.4.0_alpha2 - same issue with cpu 100% - background / foreground

Wow... so it has nothing to do with kde then?  Just to be extra  
careful, if you comment out the Fink init.sh (or just nuke your  
~/.xinitrc*), does it still have that behavior?  And with PB proxy  
disabled in X11->Preferences?
