Today, I got the following error at "sudo port sync". {{{ % which svn /opt/local/bin/svn % /opt/local/bin/svn --version svn, version 1.5.0 (r31699) : % /usr/bin/svn --version svn, version 1.4.4 (r25188) : % sudo port -v sync Synchronizing local ports tree from file:///opt/dports.dev svn: This client is too old to work with working copy '/opt/dports.dev'; please get a newer Subversion client port sync failed: Synchronization of the local ports tree failed doing an svn update }}} I fixed this problem with changing the value of svn_path to "/opt/local/bin/svn" in /Library/Tcl/macports1.0/macports_autoconf.tcl. When I upgrade a port that depends on glib2 (in this case graphviz-devel) port first deactivates glib2 then reactivates the exact same glib2. It shouldn't do that. The file `${prefix}/bin/example` does not seem to be any useful and conflicts with hunspell (see also #15991). There does not seem to be a `make install` in nss, the files are just copied from the `mozilla/dist` subdirectory. Is there a need to install these binaries to `${prefix}/bin/` at all? The current Portfile has a PPC variant with the compiler set to gcc34/g77, and a i386 variant with the compiler set to gcc42/gfortran. g77 is a little outdated, and requires a gcc 3.x compiler to build. I have not been able to get g77 to build on 10.5.x. What I have done is to refactor the existing Portfile to remove the PPC/i386 dependencies so that pgplot compiles with gcc42/gfortran as a default variant, and gcc34/g77 is selectable as a variant for compatibility with existing installations. I have tested this Portfile on a PPC/10.4.11 system and on a i386 10.4.11 system. The existing patch files are unchanged.
