Hello, I have been trying all day to install php5 with no luck. gnome-sharp does not recognize gtk#

hello, my question does not concern macport directly, I tried to install gnome-sharp 2.16 manually because it is not in the list of macport's ports, and one of its dependencies is gtk#; no problem, I installed gtk# (2.10.0 manually), but gnome-sharp does not recognize gtk#: checking for GTKSHARP... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk-sharp-2.0 >= 2.10.0) were not met: No package 'gtk-sharp-2.0' found Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. Alternatively, you may set the environment variables GTKSHARP_CFLAGS and GTKSHARP_LIBS to avoid the need to call pkg-config. See the pkg-config man page for more details. have you an idea about how to solve this ? thank you, lolveley.

gpgme downgraded?

Hi, I just did a selfupdate to 1.5.0 without any obvious problem. I then did: castellio:~ cludwig$ port search gpgme gpgme devel/gpgme 1.1.2 A library for easy acces to GnuPG. gpgme-objc devel/gpgme-objc 1.0.2 GnuPG Made Easy is an Objective-C framework wrapping libgpgme rb-gpgme ruby/rb-gpgme 0.2 Ruby interface to GnuPG Made Easy (GPGME) castellio:~ cludwig$ port installed gpgme The following ports are currently installed: gpgme @1.1.4_0 (active) Note that 'port search' thinks the most recent gpgme port is at 1.1.2, but I actually have a gpgme 1.1.4 port installed! Was the gpgme port downgraded on purpose? Or is there something wrong (in the port repository or on my side)? If it was a purposeful downgrade, where can I learn about its rationale? (Background: I am investigating why my mailclient mutt - not installed via port - dies with a bus error as soon as I open a GPG-encrypted mail.) Install error: can't read "configure.cflags"

Dear Macports users, I am having difficulty installing Macports and the PPL library via Macports. I initially intstalled Macports (and updated to 1.5.0), but the /opt/local/bin/portslocation/ folder is not there. I thus made the folders myself and went ahead (note also that I previously tried to install it in /bin/, which also failed with same error, and I then removed and reinstalled Macports): $ cd /opt/local/bin/portslocation/dports/ppl $ sudo port install ppl Macports successfully installed gmp and glpk but failed on configuring gmp-cxx-wrappers (see log below). So, am I just missing something as a newbie? Or is there some other problem here? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I am using a macbook pro 2.2GHz Core 2 with os x 10.4.10 Thanks!! I could try to upgrade Gtksourceview (1.8.3 -> 2.0-0.10), if I am able to install it, by the way, maybe you can give me some help: gtksourceview has as a dependency gnome-sharp, which I can't install: version 2.0>=1.9.3 is needed, I installed manually version 2.16, but it do not recognize gtk# v2.10.0, and I receive the following message: checking for GTKSHARP... configure: error: Package requirements (gtk- sharp-2.0 >= 2.9.0) were not met: No package 'gtk-sharp-2.0' found Consider adjusting the PKG_CONFIG_PATH environment variable if you installed software in a non-standard prefix. How to get a binary only archive?

Hello. I once made available a wrapper around gnumeric for those who didn't want to install MacPorts. It was around 1GB in size, and I'm thinking it is because of the source code. How do I use the -b option? General way of passing make options?

Hi all, I'm curious if there is a general way to pass options to the underlying make(1) (assuming the build phase actually uses make) call? I ask because I use an Intel Core 2 Duo, and if the Makefile allows it, I'd like to pass -j<n> to make when I build. (I realise not every Makefile behaves properly with this option, but I'm willing to live with fiddling with that.) Adding a variant like: variant fast_build { build.target -j2 all } To the build seems to work, but I'm not sure that's The Right Solution. Any suggestions? Thank you. -Denis

I'm running a non-MacPorts install of Pan, and I noticed after updating to 1.5.0 and doing an upgrade, my bold fonts weren't displaying. I went into the font selector, and found that for many of my fonts, but particularly for Lucida Grande, the bold versions weren't drawing. Switching between 2.3.4 and 2.3.5, it seems that everything works well in 2.3.4, and not in 2.3.5. Any ideas? Suggestions for tracking this down?
