For further fun - the case where I run into sticky keys is when using  
programs which activate on keystrokes. Adium is a really easy example:  
it's got an option in the preferences for a "Global Shortcut". Switch  
to X11, activate Adium with the shortcut, then switch back to X11 to  
trigger the stickiness.

Space-switching is just a special case of the same situation - the  
application switch just happens to be initiated by the Dock, not by  
another app.
