Unable to build the jpeg port under Leopard

Hi guys, I can't get jpeg port to build under 10.5. Any ideas what's wrong here? py25-scipy not compiling on Leopard

First of, many thanks to Eric for his efforts in putting py25-numpy, etc back to work on Leopard 10.5.1. Many thanks indeed. py25-scipy is now (to me, at least) the only last thorn; scipy fails asking for a Fortran compiler it cannot find. ... Apache and Apache 2 won't install

Apache is shot on my computer, so I'm trying to install it with Macports. When trying to install Apache 1.3, I get an error that the fetch failed. It appears that the mirrors for this software aren't working. ocaml won't compile/install {Scanned}

Hey gang, I am trying to install ocaml so I can compile unison which depends on ocaml so I can synchronize my files between my MacBookPro and AMD64 Ubuntu box. Had to get the latest unison (2.27.10) I could find to overcome a 64 bit integer bug which was crashing file transfers. Since then Unison has worked flawlessly between MBP 10.4 and Ubuntu-AMD64. Then I did the leopard upgrade. Wrecked apple mail, now using Thunderbird and I can't get my old version of ocaml (3.10.0) to compile. It compiled fine on 10.4. So I downloaded MacPorts to get that version of ocaml: sh-3.2# port search ocaml ocaml lang/ocaml 3.10.0 Objective Caml is an implementation of the ML language ocaml-mode.el lang/ocaml-mode.el 3.05 An EMACS major mode for editing OCaml programs. ocamlduce lang/ocamlduce 3.08.4pl3 Objective Caml extensions for manipulating XML But when I try to install I get: sh-3.2# port install ocaml Error: Error executing darwin_9: invalid command name "macosx_deployment_target" Error: Unable to open port: Error evaluating variants I don't think it is a bad install of MacPorts as I have loaded several packages succesfully: sh-3.2# port installed The following ports are currently installed: expat @2.0.1_0 (active) gettext @0.17_0 (active) libiconv @1.11_6 (active) py-chart @1.37_0 (active) python24 @2.4.4_1+darwin_9 (active) python25 @2.5.1_2+darwin_9 (active) Is their some way I can edit the sources on ocaml to get it to compile? If not, How long do these type things usually take to get fixed in MacPorts? ie when should I check back....daily, weekly, monthly??? Hey gang, I'm configuring openssh downloaded from macports. Had to change port from 2222 in /opt/local/etc/ssh/sshd_config to 22 to get a login prompt. Now login won't accept my password? I'm using the same one as I use on mac.....is their some more configuration neccasary? But now you're using Apple's X11 which is older and only provides version 6.0.0 of libXt.6.dylib. Therefore libXaw3d.7.dylib needs to be rebuilt. You can use "port provides /opt/local/lib/libXaw3d.7.dylib" to discover which port provides that library. It turns out it's the Xaw3d port. So you should rebuild Xaw3d with "sudo port -ncuf upgrade Xaw3d". You may find other ports that were built against the libraries provided by XFree86 which now have to be rebuilt to use the libraries provided by Apple's X11.

wine on os x leopard

I opened ticket #13000 3 weeks ago because wine won't compile on Leopard. It still doesn't compile. Is the wine port officially without a maintainer? I don't understand enough about things to fix the problem myself.

Hi, I am running macports 1.520 and I have a problem with py25-gobject.
