Selfupdate: Pextlib build fails

I can't run "port selfupdate" on a fresh install of 1.4. It fails when building Pextlib, complaining about socket.h. Anyone have a clue? I've searched the list archives and found nothing similar. Archive mode broken after the latest updates

Failure to install aspell dictionary?

I did a "port install gtkspell2" which installed aspell, which told me: > You must install one of the language dictionaries after installing > this port in order for it to work. Of course. py-tz

Hi, I repeatedly get messages about py-tz not found, i.e. sudo port upgrade active Password: Error: No port py-tz found. I am at MacPorts-1.4.2 and the port is actually called py-pytz now. The only file I could find py-tz mentioned in is /opt/local/var/db/ dports//sources/rsync.rsync.darwinports.org_dpupdate_dports/ PortIndex, maybe that needs to be fixed? GNU configure options

Is there any way to pass an extra GNU configure option to "port install"? Specifically, I want it to configure php5 with "--with-mssql=/opt/ local" to make it pick up freeTDS. Thanks, Matt

I'm running on Intel (and Mac OS X 10.4.9), but it seems to me that the architecture really shouldn't make a difference; I've checked against the PPC Darwin sources online, and there doesn't seem to be a difference between the bsd.*.mk files that are called, and I'd be very surprised if gcc was behaving differently between platforms in this way. Still, it is a possibility, so if you post the output of "sudo -td install libcompat" after cleaning libcompat (or from your original "sudo port -d -v install libcompat" if you still have it), that might help me figure out what's happening.
