Hi, I am trying to install py-scipy using MacPorts, but always end up with the errors listed below. I have the following gcc-ports installed: gcc41 lang/gcc41 4.1.2 The GNU compiler collection gcc42 lang/gcc42 4.2-20070307 The GNU compiler collection, prerelease BETA Any hints are appreciated. ion3 upgrade issues

Greetings, I am indeed running Ion in rootless mode. This is how I ran the previous version of Ion (20060524), and I never had these problems. In version 20060524, even in rootless mode, the Ion title-bar was displayed right below the OSX menu-bar, so that both were visible. Furthermore, the older version never brought Ion windows to the foreground when a non-X11 application had focus. Problem installing mysql, pgsql, and php

All, I downloaded a few things required by php, such as gettext, gd, openssl, etc. and it all went fine, I also installed apache2, but prior to installing php I wanted to install mysql, and postgresql, but was not able to get the install to work. I tried restarting, switching routers, etc, but had no luck... ion3 upgrade issues

Hello, First, let me say that i am a huge fan of Ion, and I am delighted to be able to use it with OSX. Thanks to all who have contributed to making this possible. I have just upgraded to the new version of ion3 (20070203), but I am having two major usability issues. 1) The Ion title-bar is totally hidden by the OSX menu-bar. 2) Ion's focus-follows-mouse now allows it to take focus even when a non-X11 application is in the foreground. For example, if I am using a native OSX application, and my mouse strays past its border, an Ion frame will immediately rise to the front, obscuring whatever application I was using. I would really appreciate a fix for either of these issues, or any advice on how to fix them myself. Thanks, -Nick

How to use php5 port with MySQL5 binary?

Hello, Does anyone know how to modify the php5 port file to let it work with a binary install of MySQL5 that I installed using the installer found on mysql.com? I think only part of the port file has to be changed: variant mysql5 conflicts mysql3 mysql4 { depends_lib-append \ port:mysql5 configure.args-delete \ --without-mysql configure.args-append \ --with-mysql=${workpath}/mysql5 \ --with-pdo-mysql=${prefix}/bin/mysql_config5 \ --with-mysql-sock=${prefix}/var/run/mysql5/mysqld.sock \ --with-mysqli=${prefix}/bin/mysql_config5 post-extract { file mkdir "${workpath}/mysql5" file link -symbolic "${workpath}/mysql5/lib" "${prefix}/lib/mysql5" file link -symbolic "${workpath}/mysql5/include" "${prefix}/include/ mysql5" } } The mysql5 directory that the installer uses is: /usr/local/ mysql-5.0.37-osx10.4-i686/ and it contains the bin, lib, include, data, etc folders. darcs install fails

Hi, Trying to install darcs. Failed a first time. I upgraded all my macports install to last version, upgraded and compiled all my installed packets (svn, postgresql, perl5...). Hi, I just installed iTerm 0.8.2 via sudo port install iTerm and the install went fine. gcc 4.2 wont build

Hi, I'm trying to build gcc 4.2, but I get the following errors (running 'sudo port install gcc42') : /opt/local/bin/odas: assembler (/opt/local/libexec/as/x86_64/as or ) for architecture x86_64 not installed Installed assemblers are: /opt/local/libexec/as/ppc64/as for architecture ppc64 /opt/local/libexec/as/ppc/as for architecture ppc /opt/local/libexec/as/i386/as for architecture i386 I installed MacPorts 1.4 and run a 'sudo port selfupdate', so I should be up to date. I also know, that there is already a ticket with this error ( http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/macports/ticket/11309 ), but it is closed... I'm working on an iMac with C2D and OSX 10.4.9. Missing ports

Hi, I'm running MacPorts 1.4.0. It was self updated from the previous version. Today I was going to install fusefs and sshfs, but port info and port search can't find them. I've tried another port selfupdate and a port sync but still no luck. Interestingly enough a port info on the fuse category shows 3 other packages: dlb@qfwfq$ port info --name category:fuse name: encfs name: fuse-bindings-python name: ntfs-3g Each of these say they depend on libfuse which is also not found with port info. Any hints or is there any other info I can provide? Thanks - David
