plist and wrapper for fetchmail, spamd and courier-auth

Hello. I'm using fetchmail, spamassassin and courier-imap to retreive my mails. There is no plist nor wrapper for fetchmail, so I wrote the two attached files for fetchmail. The wrapper uses daemondo. There is no plist for spamd, it's indeed simple, so here it is And I modify the courier-imap wrapper to launch courier-auth which is mandatory to connect to the imap daemon. Hope this helps. trouble using RubyCocoa after Ruby update

missing spidermonkey development headers

Hi, I am porting my project to Darwin and I have encountered a problem with the Spidermonkey port. It does not install all required headers. After "port install spidermonkey" I only had jsapi.h and jsautocfg.h, in reality there should be much more (you can easily see that jsapi.h includes "jspubtd.h" and so on). Problem encountered on Darwin 7.9.0 Any chance this will be fixed? Thanks, Jin

Forcing dylib builds

Hi folks, I've been struggling to get the programming language Io fully installed on my system. Io recommends MacPorts for installing dependencies and mostly that has been working for me. A couple of things which didn't work are avcodec (part of ffmpeg) and libSoundTouch. Both of these install from MacPorts OK, but they only have .a and .la files, while Io requires .dylib files. Is there anything I can pass in to make the port build dynamic libraries, or do I need to edit the portfile? And if I have to edit the port, are they cached locally or do I need to set up a local portfile repository? I'm running OS X (10.4.8, Intel) and have uninstalled all ports and reinstalled just the ones needed for Io (I had a lot of very out-of- date ports and wanted to start with a clean slate). garbled display from mutt-devel?

Hello, I recently was adding some packages from the ports collection, and in the process my formerly-working mutt-devel installation went away. I've reinstalled it, but I now get garbled display in any mailbox. Specifically, wide characters, and especially the arrows for threads, no longer display correctly. So, where once I'd have had the little line with the arrow, I get this: ?~T~T?~T~@> This happens although I have not changed the terminal setting at all. As I say, it used to work, but I have no recollection of how I installed it that time (since it was more than a year ago). It happens irrespective of what locale I use. I have installed XMMS 1.2.10_2 and eSound 0.2.36_0. I am also using an M-Audio Delta 1010 audio interface. I don't know if this is necessary, but I am running Mac OS X 10.4.6. I have XMMS set to use the eSound Output Plugin. Upon trying to play any audio file, I get a "Couldn't open audio" window. It states "Please check to see if: Your sound card is configured properly, you have the correct output plugin selected, no other program is blocking the soundcard." No other programs are running other than X11, WindowMaker, and XMMS, at least visibly. The only other output plugin is Disk Writer Plugin, which I figured I didn't want to use. And, to be honest, I don't know if my sound card is configured properly. I know it is set up to run under OS X. It defaults to using my Delta 1010. I figure that I need to configure my sound card to run under X11. I don't have a clue how to do this. I looked through various eSound documentation for assistance with no luck.
